The NSCLC is represented by a team of Oncologists working alongside Respiratory Physicians, Surgeons, Medical Imaging and Pathology Providers in the assessment and management of patients with suspected or proven lung cancer. The NSCLC is proudly supported by Calvary Central Districts Hospital and Adelaide Radiotherapy Centre.
The multidisciplinary service operates out of Calvary Central Districts Hospital in Elizabeth Vale offering streamlined access diagnostic services and experienced consultants specialising in Lung Cancer management.
We facilitate/provide rapid access to and utilise the latest technology in terms of diagnosis and assessment:
EBUS (Endo bronchial ultrasound)
PET Scanning
Video assisted thoroscopic surgery (VATS)
Laser bronchoscopy
Medical oncology clinical management, through the Adelaide Oncology & Haematology group
Radiation Oncology including advanced stereotactic techniques through Adelaide Radiotherapy Centre
The NSCLC team will provide optimal Lung Cancer care for both public and private patients.
All referrals are triaged by an experienced oncologist and patients are referred on for co-ordinated investigations and individualised oncological and cardiothoracic opinion.
How do we keep you informed?
GP’s will receive rapid feedback from the primary specialist after all multidisciplinary team discussions.
Your patients will have access to the full range of supportive care offered by the NSCLC.

Which patients should you refer to NSCLC?
Patients suitable for urgent referral include all patients with suspected or proven lung cancer including those with:
Persistent haemoptysis
Pleural effusion
Mediastinal lymphadenopathy
Metastic disease
