About Dr Harminder Singh Takhar
Dr Harminder Takhar holds dual qualifications in medicine and pharmacy. He graduated from Medical School, Flinders University (South Australia) in 2007 and from Pharmacy School, Curtin University (Western Australia) in 2000.
He has trained in major cancer centres in Adelaide including the Cancer Centre, Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Cancer Innovation Centre and holds a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (specialist in medical oncology). He also has experience in cancer clinical trials, completing a clinical research fellowship with the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit.
Cancer diagnosis and treatment is a challenging and rapidly evolving area. Dr Takhar has expertise in cancer diagnosis, treatment, supportive care and counselling. He consults at Calvary North Adelaide, Calvary Central Districts and St Andrews Medical Centre.
