About Dr Tony Michele
An Adelaide University medical graduate, Dr Michele undertook physician training at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) with advanced training in Medical Oncology through both TQEH and Flinders Medical Centre. He commenced Medical Oncology practice via a public appointment at the Royal Adelaide Hospital with private clinics through the then Calvary Cancer Centre. He helped oversee the formation of an independent cancer service, North Adelaide Oncology (now named Adelaide Oncology & Haematology), based at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital and the redevelopment of Kimberley House into a new, self contained cancer unit.
Now in full time private practice he remains active in teaching
including medical and radiation therapy students, RDNS and is a co supervisor
for advanced training in medical oncology at Adelaide Oncology & Haematology. A general oncologist he is
actively involved in clinical trials and has an interest in prostate cancer. He
helped establish and now run RESTORE, a program of complementary care workshops
for patients of Adelaide Oncology & Haematology.
