Safeguards and preventative measures in place at Adelaide Oncology & Haematology

  • All patients, visitors and staff will be screened upon entering our sites.  Temperature will be taken and anyone with obvious signs of illness (flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cold, or sore throat) will be sent to a designated area and assessed by our clinical team
  • No visitors per patient for both clinic appointments and treatment unless physical assistance is required
  • No visitors under age 18 (because young people may infect others without necessarily being ill themselves)
  • As always, we ask that you do NOT visit if you have any flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough, or sore throat
  • We ask that you do NOT visit if you have travelled from or through any area with widespread COVID-19 infection in the past 30 days
  • Reinforcing strict hygiene protocols
  • Social distancing guidelines are being adhered to where practicable
  • Telehealth consults will be conducted when face to face consult is not essential or patient is not visiting our centre for treatment purposes
  • All clinical and administration staff are restricting work to one site only where possible and maximum of two sites only if necessary
  • Alcohol hand gel, tissues and disposal bins readily available throughout our centres
  • All non-essential items have been removed from the waiting areas (eg magazines)
